Ilford
IG1 — the core
The High Road, the Exchange, and the Victorian and Edwardian terraces that run off Cranbrook Road and Ley Street. Dense, well connected, and mostly controlled parking — which shapes the day more than the furniture does.
Goodmayes & Seven Kings
IG3
Long terraced streets and interwar semis, with a high proportion of larger households and multi-generation homes. Volume is regularly well above what a bedroom count suggests, and side returns and loft conversions are common.
Gants Hill & Newbury Park
IG2 / IG6
Interwar semis on wider roads, more driveways, more garages. The easier end of the borough for a vehicle, and the end where the garage and the loft hold the surprises.
Barking
IG11
A patch with real demand of its own — terraces, post-war estates and a great deal of newer riverside development. The newer blocks run booked lifts and reserved bays; the older streets run permits.
Woodford & South Woodford
IG8 / E18
Larger houses, longer approaches and more detached stock than anywhere else we cover. Bigger jobs, more crew, and frequently a move out of London rather than within it.
The east-London edge
E7 / E11 / E12 / RM
Forest Gate, Leytonstone, Manor Park and the Romford side. We work these because they border us; for a move entirely inside one of them, our coverage page names a better firm.
And where we will send you instead
Saying no to work that belongs to somebody else costs us a job and saves you a bad one.
Across London as a whole
A move that starts and finishes outside the IG postcodes is better handled by a firm built for the capital.

Is one part of the borough dearer than another?
No. Access changes the figure — a driveway against a permit street, a loft conversion against none, stairs against ground floor. Postcode does not.
Why does the list include Barking and Woodford?
Because both carry real work of their own and both border us. This is a wider list than a single-town site would have, and it is still a list we can stand behind.
What if half the move is in Ilford and half is not?
That is normal and it is ours. Either end being in the IG postcodes is enough — plenty of our work finishes somewhere else in the country entirely.
Do you go into Romford or Forest Gate?
The roads that border us, yes. For a move entirely inside either, our network has sites that know them better than we do.

Send both addresses and a rough idea of what is coming. Access matters more than the postcode, so mention the loft and the road.
